Next to Normal (musical) is an intimate exploration of family and illness, loss and grief. At its heart is Diana Goodman, a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past. Winner of 3 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the musical debuted on Broadway in 2010 and the first UK version played at the Donmar Warehouse summer 2024.

 

The set design is likely to be fairly minimal involving decking - lights will be a key part of the look of the show which is at its heart a rock musical
