Cycle to St Ives for Lunch
Following on from a successful punting trip (no-one fell in!) we're thinking of spending some more time in the great outdoors before the Autumn shows kick off.
This time we're suggesting a different transport mode - cycling - and heading out along the guided busway to St Ives for a pub lunch. The route is mostly off road (so limited traffic to contend with) and being Cambridgeshire it's also pretty flat! We'll likely have a pickup point in central Cambridge and then where we pick up the busway. Depending on how many people are interested in coming along we may split into a couple of smaller groups. It's about a 90 min leisurely cycle out from Cambridge and there should be plenty of time to admire the views along the way, so no need to be a stand in for Chris Froome or Mark Cavendish to join us!
Being an outside activity it is weather dependent so we'll take a view a few days in advance as to whether the weather is going to play ball for us. The 11th is a tentative date at the moment so if you're interested in coming along please fill out the below Doodle Poll to let us know when you're available incase we need to change the date
http://doodle.com/poll/ueari5ptshe8ht9rEqually, if you fancy joining us in St Ives for lunch without the effort of cycling do also let us know.
